Established in 2002, Malaysian Students Association in Shanghai (MSAS) is a non-profit and voluntary organization affiliated with the Education section of the Embassy of Malaysia in China (EM Beijing). We are committed to provide services for to Malaysian students studying in Shanghai.

Since 2002, we have been a bridge of cultural exchange between Malaysia and Shanghai. We also collaborated with other organizations to hold sharing session regularly (eg. internship and work experience, practicing medicine in Malaysia and China, etc.), according to the needs of our members. Our members are provided with opportunities for job development as we have alumni associations and partnerships with companies.

Starting small from just a WeChat official account, we have expanded our media platform to reach more students and strategic companies via Facebook Page, Instagram, Weibo, LinkedIn and our official website with the total engagements of more than 2500 people throughout Malaysia. We are more than just a student association to help Malaysian students in Shanghai, we are here to facilitate the cultural exchange of two places, while seeking more career development opportunities for our elite members. This is why we are here. MSAS will continue to strive to help Malaysian students who are studying or are interested in studying in Shanghai.
